The Mankhurd–Chembur arterial road (MM Chari Marg) floods within 60 minutes of sustained heavy rain (>40 mm/hr), cutting off access for 300,000+ residents to the Eastern Express Highway. The 2024 audit by MCGM Hydraulics Dept identified a storm-drain bottleneck at the railway overbridge but no works order has been issued. Flooding persists even after MCGM's Rs 14,000 crore Brihanmumbai Stormwater Disposal System (BRIMSTOWAD) project claimed completion in this ward.
